The Primordials were the first male and female of any race that the dragons created. They were large, and their magical output was immense since the dragons were unsure with how much power to imbue new creations with. The Primordials were treated as demigods by the other creations of their races.
The Primordial Era was short lived, however. The First Betrayal was a grim moment in Mune’s histories. The dragons had always encouraged peace, and love. All the races lived in harmony with one another.
One day, the Primordial Demoness, Able, had played a trick on her friend, The Angel Kayn. She convinced him to offer the heart of the Primordial Kitsune to the dragon Abbron as a sacrificial offering- a new way to gain favor of their gods.
Kayn was the first being to bloody his hands with cold murder. It was unthinkable. But Kayn trusted his friend dearly, and loved his gods infinitely. Kayn offered the soft heart of a Kitsune to Abbron, but was horrified to see the dragon’s outrage. Lau’fayah arrived to avenge his child, landing a curse upon Kayn, and Able, for conspiring together in the First Betrayal.
Word of their corruption reached the ears of the other Primordials, who were outraged at the defilement of another Primordial. Adramalith killed Able, but to his horror, she arose again. She stared in horror as her mate had made an attempt to eradicate her. Her curse was alive. Only Kayn could kill her. And only she could kill Kayn.
The other Primordials rallied together, to kill the Angelic and Demonic demigods. Kayn’s mate, Karis, defended him profusely, declaring that he was tricked and was not to be blamed. Her cries fell on deafened ears of the enraged. Karis was the second victim to the start of the Primordial War. Kayn ached at the lost love, his curse, the murder he committed... He mounted a counterattack on the home of the Harpies, Quith’ok & Urekva, who had killed his beloved mate.
Kayn now racked up a body count of 3 Primordials- a sin the others could no longer idly take. Karis was close to the Elves, Yeronogos & Yasinaga, who mourned her loss with Kayn. They banded together and fought off the onslaught of Primordials who tried to take them on one at a time.
The fighting evolved quickly, becoming a way for Primordials to unleash such great power with their emotions. The planet heaved with the battles that commenced. The dragons considered eating the Primordials to end the fighting, but the four dragons alike realized they loved their firstborns too greatly. They were unable to get involved in the fighting without invoking the wrath of one of their kin.
But it was Adramalith who dealt the final blow to end the war.
He had conspired a false meeting with all the Primordials to “sue for peace”. The cunning demon arranged a banquet in a sacred meadow for the remaining Primordials, encouraging them to cease the fighting. When they arrived and took their seats at the table, the head was empty. Adramalith was unaccounted for.
The large Primordial Demon was high in the atmosphere, but a speck in the sky. Adramalith channeled the energies of Mune and let them imbue him with strength. He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. It was a suicide mission. But the deaths of all the Primordials was detrimental to his plan if he were to succeed one day.
By the time the others figured something was off, it was too late. They bickered with one another across the table, throwing chairs and cutlery in hopes to damage their foes.
The sky rumbled.
The guests Adramalith had invited looked up to see a blazing meteor come crashing towards them at a speed and size they could not outrun. For the first time in months, they banded together in attempts to save their lives, but the fire was not to be stopped.
Adramalith blazed with the heat of the sun, skin searing off him as he hurtled towards his destination. He crashed into the meadow with a thunderous explosion. Mune heaved as she caved into herself under the destruction of impact. The rocks melted away. The meadow disintegrated and cleared away all life with a central blast.
The damage stretched for miles, and when the fires finally cleared, there was nothing left but a crater that smelled of sulfur and salt. The Primordial’s had met their end. Except, of course, the accursed Kayn and Able, who would hunt each other for eternity.
